On 10 March 2022, the Russian Air Force Sukhoi Su-25SM s/n RF-91969, code 10 red, from the 18th Attack Aviation Regiment, was shot down by Ukrainian forces and crashed in Bekhy, Korosten Raion, Zhytomyr Oblast. The pilot major Nikolai Prozorov didn't survive.
Original paint on this fuselage portion of the SU-25. Edges slightly hand filed to reduce cutting hazard.
Commercial grade polymer velcro-like fastener was used so item is removable from plaque for inspection and handling.
